Ulrich joined Inverness Graham as part of the Value Creation Group in 2026. His responsibilities include serving on Inverness Graham portfolio company boards and as an advisor to various portfolio company CEOs and management teams, as well as supporting due diligence of investment opportunities in specific markets aligned with his background and experience.

Ulrich brings a distinguished 40+ year background across the public and private sectors, with extensive experience leading and managing private equity-owned and publicly traded businesses in Inverness Graham’s key focus areas. Most recently, he has been involved with multiple start-up ventures and currently serves on several corporate boards, both domestic and international. From 2018 to 2021, he served as 34^th Counselor of the United States Department of State, providing strategic guidance to the Secretary on foreign policy, advancing U.S. diplomacy and public outreach, and leading special diplomatic assignments.

Prior to his most recent government service, Mr. Brechbuhl was President of Appenzeller Point, LLC, a privately held investing and consulting business. He also served as Executive Chairman of Avadyne Health and held board roles with five other healthcare and financial services businesses. Earlier in his career, he served as the CFO and CEO of multiple privately held and publicly traded companies, where he helped scale businesses to achieve over 20% annual revenue growth, more than 50% annual earnings, and successful exit outcomes. He is a former U.S. Army officer and began his private sector career at Bain & Company.
